Hub powder coating is an environmentally friendly surface treatment material specifically designed for automotive wheels, offering advantages such as high adhesion, corrosion resistance, anti-chipping during fine turning.
Hub powder coating is widely used in the painting of aluminum alloy wheels, particularly for enhancing decorative appearance and extending service life Compared to traditional liquid coatings, it has the environmental advantages of low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, high utilization rate, and recyclability. The main application forms currently base powder and transparent topcoat powder, suitable for full coating, fine turning, or polished wheel treatment processes.
Performance and Technical Requirements:
Adhesion: Must meet0-level standard to ensure a strong bond and prevent chipping during fine turning.
Impact resistance: As a load-bearing component, the wheel coating must withstand high- impacts, typically requiring ≥50 kg/cm.
Curing window: Ideal coatings should have a wide curing temperature range to adapt to different production line furnace temperature.
Surface tension: To improve paint wetting and balance block bonding strength, the surface tension of the base powder should be controlled between 30–32 mN/.
Flowability and particle size: Powder particle size is recommended to be controlled between 30–45 microns to balance flow effect and coating efficiency
Packaging: 20kg/carton, or 25kg/carton
Transportation: Non-dangerous goods, suitable for various modes of transportation. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and prevent contamination by water, oil and other chemicals.
